Awareness
Awareness is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for all students and members at TQ. Their goal is to create a space where everyone can feel comfortable while dancing. They are the main point of contact in case of boundary-crossing experiences.

Overview
Tasks
- Ensure a comfortable and safe environment
- Be present at events (Open Dancings, Balls, Parties, ...) as a first point of contact
- (Discreetly) handle cases in which boundaries have been crossed and resolve or take actions based on them
- Work together with other resorts to suspend persons from courses/events if necessary
- Develop concepts to ensure safe spaces
Time commitment can vary a lot based on role
Roles
Board Member
Responsible for the resort and has main access to awareness email and forum. Additionally takes on the duties of a team member.
Time commitment: Average baseline of 1-3h/week with a sharp increase depending on whether there's an ongoing case.
Team Member
Handles awareness cases, talks to affected people and helps in finding solutions. Develops awareness concepts. Works together with other resorts to suspend attendance of persons if deemed necessary.
Time commitment: Average baseline of 0-1h/week with a sharp increase depending on whether there's an ongoing case.
Awareness Person
Present at events to serve as a lower-barrier first contact and ensure a safe environment. Usually marked by a pink sash or shirt.
Time commitment Based on how often one would like to be assigned as an awareness person, typically 2-3 times per semester for a couple hours.
