  1. Report any problems with the room to aktuar@tanzquotient.org immediately

  2. Getting keys 🔑
    1. There may be a dance class beforehand. In that case, talk to the teacher and do a hand-over: 
      1. Any issues that day?
      2. Get the key.
    2. Otherwise, you need to pick up the keys at the ISC HG desk.
      1. ISC knows about us, just tell them that you are from TQ and would like to borrow the keys for Alumni Pavillon.
      2. ISC is open only on working days until 16:00 (check, may be earlier) → Make a calendar reminder! (Lächeln)

  3. Preparation of the room 🧹
    1. Roll up the TQ roll-up. It is wind sensitive, so place it mindfully. The black bag is stored behind the sliding door next to the kitchen. Polyband also has their stuff there, the roll-up is on top of our boxes. 🛼
    2. Put up awareness posters in the restroom and on the tables. You can find them in the box. If you're also awareness contact person, wear the pink TQ-shirt.
    3. Install the ventilator if needed, it is in a big grey box. Place the machine in front of the main entrance (use it as a doorstopper) and connect it to the tube, so that the noise is outside and it pushes fresh air into the room. If you do so, do it right at the beginning and open both sides of the doors completely, remove ETH poster stands for that. Make sure the emergency exit is as wide as possible.


  4. Play music as described in Music Instructions! 🎶
    1. Bring your own device with preferably HDMI-Port or Adapter. 
    2. The Alumni Pavillon has an ETH multimedia station with wireless microphones:
      1. Use an HDMI cable:
        1. The big black-ish container has a built-in drawer that contains many cables - pick the HDMI cable.
        2. Connect the HDMI cable to your device and to the  HDMI port of the rack or white box
        3. Use the sound-system tablet to turn on the entire system (button top-left), no need to turn on the projector as well.
        4. Once the system is up and running: Use the sound-system tablet and click on Room > Devices. Select HDMI as input.
        5. Note. There is a volume knob on the large black-ish container (right-most knob). You may need to turn it up to max, but if you hear some distortion, turn it back until the distortion disappears.
        6. Note. Sometimes it stops working and needs a full reboot.
      2.  TQ AUX  headphone jack cable (only if you really cannot use HDMI)
        1. the sound-system tablet automatically switches from VGA to Media Player (traurig) If you don't have access to an HDMI cable, you may need to follow the steps below:
        2. In that case, use the jack cable to cinch cable (Klinkenkabel) stored in the TQ box. It is AUX on one side and has two plugs on the other side (one red, one white).
        3. Climb behind the black container and (almost) lay on the floor. The plugs fit into the lowermost device. The AUX side connects to your device. Touch the main screen from time to time so that it doesn't power off. (Timeout seems to be a couple hours.)
    3. For special occasions you can ask TQ sound&lights (events@tanzquotient.org) to install
      1. subwoofer (easy, but it needs to be transported by 2 people to and from TQ cellar)
      2. colorful lights (installation in room takes about an hour, tear-down 30 min)

  5. Close the windows at 22:00🪟 💤
    1. Nachtruhe. People live close by, they want to sleep.
    2. The door may stay open all night.

  6. At the end 🏁
    1. Take down awareness posters and store them in the box.
    2. Turn off the sound system and return the cables.
    3. Roll down the roll-up and put it behind the sliding door next to the kitchen. Polyband also has their stuff there, the roll-up should be on top of our boxes.
    4. Put the ventilator back in its box and the extension cable where you found it.
    5. Check TQ inventory and report missing/damaged items to events@tanzquotient.org: All items should be clearly labeled as TQ.

    6. Lock the sliding door to the storage inside the kitchen
    7. Make sure the room is left precisely as described on the panel next to the entrance:
    8. If someone forgot some items (e.g. dance shoes), bring them to the ISC HG when returning the key - there's the official ETH Lost & Found. Take a picture of the items and send in on WhatsApp to the "General Chat".
    9. Turn  off the lights, don't forget kitchen and restrooms. 💡
    10. Lock the door.
    11. Report any problems with the room to aktuar@tanzquotient.org immediately

  7. Returning keys 🔑
    1. Return the keys the day after to ISC HG. – Otherwise they might get mad at TQ.
    2. If you have access to HG with your Legi, you can also drop the key in the box right next to the ISC desk on Monday night.
